I really don't remember the details and don't know if the person who installed it still lives there. I believe there was a returning to El Dorado from Hollywood connection. It's not a recent addition.

Its been there since i arrived and that was the late 70's

It was owned by Thomas Roberds. He was an amateur astronomer. He and his wife have both passed away.

He was known as Smokey Roberds and i think he might live in Fayetteville where his sister lives.

His name is Allen(Smokey) Roberds and he is a chiropractor in Fayetteville Arkansas. Sure wish he would buy this house and move back down here.

I want to say he donated the telescope to the Boy Scouts. May not be correct but I'm pretty sure it is. That would have been quite some time back.

You would have to cut several trees and convince neighbors to cut theirs as well to make it viable again.
Nice to know there was ( at one point) someone with an interest other that the usual in this area...
