I often wonder if someone sins and then asks for repentance but continue to sin in the same manner, are you ever truely forgiven in the eyes of the Lord???????

That depends on what brand of religion you adhere to. For a Roman Catholic, if you confess you are good to go until you sin again.

Not at the ability to refer to scripture at the moment, but the Lord does refer to a "luke warm" feeling as similar to water, where He'll spew you out. If I'm not mistaken, it refers to the lifestyle you live.

No man is perfect, and sometimes breaking away from sin in general, or one particular sin, is a process. We can mean what we say, with a repentant heart, but as the Bible says, the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. It does not mean that we have a license to sin or that the person is not trying to stop this sin, but as Gods Word says, we should be patient and loving and try to help this brother or sister to overcome the sin which has them in bondage.

We all sin, though we do not necessarily sin in the same manner. Because of this, we have a Savior Who paid the price to set us free from the Eternsl judgement of that sin.

Through Christ, we have Grace and Mercy. Because of Christ, as believers, we are called to extend the same Grace and Mercy to others.

The condition of a persons heart is what matters. People will fail us ... People will fail themselves .. Don't be quick to judge, because they may be just as hurt and angry at their sin and you might be. Treat them with love and help guide them into the loving correction of The Lord. You may be the key to helping them to break their bondage of sin!

Be a blessing!!

So even if its cheating on his wife, they should be patient about that and understanding. I mean I think it is hard enough to forgive them once, but for something that continues to go on I dont know about that.

That's why it's up to each individual and what the Holy Spirit speaks to their heart. They alone will have to answer for whether or not they fulfill Hos leading. We all answer for ourselves!
