Yes Smackover has a fine Clinic, well staffed I might add.

do they have teeth and wear shoes? Do you have to squeal like a pig during a "physical"? If the answer is no and yes...might be interested. If I could even find it.

Well, I am in the medical profession,, but take what I say with a grain of salt, as my opinions, like yours, can be colored by my own, and my friend's experiences. SAMA- The doctors are OK, but the big complaint I hear from anyone who goes there is that it can be next to impossible to see your own doctor. I have known people that felt their problem was overlooked simply because they were seeing a different doctor everytime the went there. Dr. Watson- he is my personal doctor since Voinea left ElDorado. Have not had any issues with him, and he seems to know what he is doing. However, he is mostly limiting his new patients to weight loss patients. I asked them to make an exception for me because my husband was already using him. My kiddos go to Dr. Ray. For kids, I prefer a pediatrician. Gonna be harder now though to take your kid to a pediatrician since the Cajitas are leaving us. That just leaves Ray and Gomez. Dr. Luper: my family's personal experiences definitely color my opinion here. I do not think she is a very good doctor. She seems to send people off to the specialist over a little bit of nothing. My parents were with Dr. Ezell, and switched to her because she is in the same town they are. They were so dissatisfied that they now drive to Bernice to see the doctor. Dr. Callaway- if you can stand his taste in clothing, I hear he is excellent. Some of my coworkers see him, and a friend's dad had him for a doctor with hospice- he was good with them. And I am very impressed with a tale told me last week. He picked up on her son's high blood sugar just by looking at the rash on his neck. I am a nurse and had never heard that one of the symptoms of high blood sugar could be a neck rash. Christy Skinner- definitely prejudiced here. I went to nursing school with her. She is smart and interested in what was best for her patient. So all in all, if I needed a family doctor, I would either see Watson or Callaway. But I would be comfortable having a nurse practitioner see my family and myself also. Just know if she needs MD backup, it is Dr. Smart. |

I use Dr. Smart, never had any problems. I like him, but he seems to always be in a rush. Are there any opinions about him?

If you want to die...go to Dr. Harper almost kill me and another lady I know.
For the record, SAMA docs DO see their own patients in the hospital.
I like Dr. Hatley at SAMA.
Since when? In May 2007 none of the SAMA doctors were allowed to see their Medicare patients in the Eldorado hospital. They use hospitables, has this rule changed in the last year or so? |
Yes. This rule changed in January, 2009. I know this for a fact.

Go out of town!

If you want the Best DR in ElDorado, Greg Smart would be the one!!!! He is the most caring Dr. I have ever met. Sometimes you don't think he is listening to you, but his mind is always turning and thinking about you symptoms.

SAMA has alot of doctors but Dr. Smart is a very caring doctor also. Don't make a mistake and go see Dr. Grant and his wife they are walking pharmaceutical drug solicitors. Pay for your visit and walk out with any drug of your choice.
