Looking for a decent house in a decent neighborhood to rent for under $400 a month. It's hard to make ends meet when you only have about a $1000 to live on a month, pay rent, utilities, buy food, etc. The people who help with the rent don't seem interested in helping a white person. Tried Ed Midyett, won't rent from him anymore. Hanna was too high. Anyone somebody can recommend? I have a small dog and cat, both house broken. Don't mind living in a trailer house if it's decent. Don't want no junk.

Go to the chamber page every landlord in the city is listed there. You will be living in the gehetto for $400 a month though. No offense. It is just a fact. Dianne Hammond just had a listing on facebook check her. Maybe a trailer park or something would be cheaper. House notes are less expensive then rent in this town.

There are nice houses available for $400 or less, you just have to keep your ear to the ground and/or network. I pay $390 and live in a nice house in a quiet, nice neighborhood.

Have you tried Chapel Ridge or whatever it's called north of Walmart? They have rent based on your income. It used to be a decent place. Not sure anymore.

There are not quality homes for $400/month to rent in this town, or any town for that matter.

just this week vacated a roach infested house, that was $450 month in Parkway area. Looked decent and clean when looked at to rent. Was adamant that roaches were something that wouldnt be tolerated. Had it sprayed twice. The day we moved in and few weeks later and they multiplied! Landlord said he wouldn't be responsible for pest control. Dog was stolen the second week after we got him. Was told not to call for anything other than electric, plumbing or major issues because, "you are getting a $450.00 a month house. You cant expect too much." A nightmare from jump street...Was late a few days on rent, and the landlord, came over, while I was home and turned off the AC in the middle of the day. Its August!!!!!I was at home at the time. Witnessed it. I have a child. I wasnt about to wait around for the next issue that was sure to arise. Beware of Bill Lucas rentals....He dont give a flying f@*k about his tenants. Only spiffs it up to get you in the door, and after that....oh well....Shame on you Mr. Lucas

Parkway is a mistake. Just keep tabs on the Police Log in the local paper. High crime area. Roaches are pretty much common to this area. You can keep killing them around your place, but if your neighbors don't do anything, they'll probably come right back.

There's a website, dumbass. I don't get paid by the landlords to post on topix. I don't work for free.
