Easily the worst bank I have ever dealt with. For many years we used NBC and then Simmons came and it still wasn't too bad. Then the last President left and went to another local bank, and everything has went to the dogs! The word at car dealers is that Simmons will only finance 70% of car loans regardless of your credit. After buying several vehicles with Simmons financing, we decided to buy another car. Simmons said they would finance it, but I would have to pay 10%, and within 5 minutes called me back and said, no, 20%. Hmmm, didn't even act like they wanted to do that, very rude, and with our credit ratings in the 700+ range, we went to Southern BanCorp and they financed the whole thing at a lower rate than Simmons. The latest vehicle I bought, went to Southern, forget Simmons. Made the mistake of taking a small loan with Simmons, with our 5K CD as collateral, they charged us over 10%. What a ripoff. When they financed a hearing aid through a local hearing place, it was 22%! I've already pulled some of my accounts, and thinking seriously off pulling our big accounts. They're jerks, and don't care about their clients, no matter what they advertise.

We have credit in the 800+ range and have only made small loans thru Simmons. The ladies have always been very helpful but Jack is the reason we won't be making anymore loans thru them. By going to another bank we were able to finance our latest new vehicle at 1.88%. Thanks Jack!

We payed ourselves a car payment every month until we had enough to pay cash for our last vehicle. Dave Ramsey rocks.

There are some very nice people at Simmonsfirst and out at their branches, but then there are those who could care less about you or any customer and they seem to RULE!

Recently needed a Medallion Stamp when my Mom passed away, and we were trying to settle her Estate. I contacted Robin at Simmons Bank, where I (by the way have 2 savings accounts), and she was extremely RUDE to me. While I do understand, you have "rules" to go by, the same as First Financial, I must say thanks to the ladies at FFB for being helpful and KIND through this unpleasant process. So I deposited my proceeds at FFB, and am probably going to move my money.

I went to Simmons for a loan with a credit score above 700, Jack said I would need 25% down and a cosigner, I have never hade a cosigner and have had several loans there in the past, I have a checking and saving account there since 87. Went to First Finical and got lower interest, nothing down and no cosigner, Simmons has some great people but Jack needs to retire and spend some family money

And this kind of stuff is what Simmons customers are having to say!! I think they need to change that advertisement because what customers and former customers are having to say damn sure dont draw customers it actually drives them away! What a joke

When it comes to cars and homes I think people need to stop "buying" things they can't afford. Back in the day you had to pay off a certain % of what you wanted to make payments on. There was no such thing as financing the entire bill. If I wanted a Range Rover I could make payments on it and easily find a bank that would let me but I'm not stupid enough to do that. I'm old school and that means I drive a 40,000$ truck that I paid 20,000$ down on.

While my interest may be minimal in comparison to my balance, socks pay NO interest. I am NOT charged to keep my money there. Nice try.
