Are there any top people from Akebono reading this? I am sure you have noticed that the transfer of rotor and drum machining work from other plants is not going as smooth as Bosch promised. The quality problems are related to the unrealistic cycle times quoted by engineering to win work for Bosch Clarksville. Good luck meeting your goal of being self sufficient by august "you are going to need it"

I can only hope that the Clarksville plant suffers a much worse fate that the rest of Bosch's former facilities.:)

Thats sad you would want people to suffer from unemployment, just sad. I'm an American that think the new work forced from the 90 to 2000 generation is going to fail.. Maybe the Asian are on to something

Akebono Clarksville Plant is full of good people. They can produce a quality part and IF managed correctly could be profitable... But there is the problem... Management team is made up of a group of people that would steal the coins off their dead mother's eyes if given the chance. They run scrap and hide it... Let their favorites hang around on the clock and collect overtime. They work the one that will to the point of leaving while the few favored get to do what ever.

I love the company, but if the plant level leadership does not change this plant will be closed down. They can not keep losing money from bad management and stay open.

I only hope that someone higher up in Akebono get a chance to read this because I would hate for all those good people to suffer because the handful in charge don't know what they are doing.

I think it's truly a shame that Akebono can spend 82 + million on expanding but can't give their loyal employees a raise. This past winter (2015) I know of a few workers on 3rd shift going into work on 8 " of ice. They work in unsafe heated buildings at nite because TVA says they're using too much energy. But I bet the day workers with the higher ups are comfortable with their A/C on. I don't mean to sound negative, just a concerned wife.
