You're welcome.
The video makes it clear that this Senator is not concerned with a woman's safety. His motivation is an attempt to close all abortion clinics in the state, because of his religious beliefs. Do your really believe this kind of thing is in the best interest of ALL of his constituents?
I'm sure that ALL his constituents didn't vote for him.

Again, he'll be held accountable by them at the ballot box.

Which does not answer my question.

I don't know all of his constituents.

How could I possibly answer that question?

So you have no opinion on whether or not laws based upon one religion, while a pretense is made that they are based on the safety of women, are the best thing for everyone, even those who are not part of that religion? Really?

He didn't mention a religion, I don't believe.

Give me the time in the video where he mentions his religion and I'll take a look.

If we don't know his religion, we can't assume the law here is based on it, can we?

How dishonest of you. I now know that you don't really want an honest debate. So be it.

You only think debate is "honest" when no one calls your assumptions into question.

You don't want debate-you want to issue monologues.

Let's hear your" monologue" as you call it sticking to the basic issues and leaving out any sanctimonious BS. The microphone is open and the floor is yours.

The fact that he never said a word about making the clinics safe for women in relation to this law, but instead spoke of shutting down all the clinics with this law, making mention of "God" several times, proves my point. Your denial only highlights your dishonesty.

What's teh basic issue you think I need to stick to?

Bitner thinks it's this Alabama Senator on the video's religion, which I haven't heard mentioned by name. He's obviously a christian of some sort, but that could mean one of thousands of sects.

What dishonesty?

I'm not making apologies for the guy. You thought his religion was germane, somehow. I just asked you what his religion was and why it's an issue.

He is an abortion opponent. Duh. He thinks the safety measure would be to have them close down.

Your dishonesty, which you've just displayed again.

I never mentioned a specific religion, because which one it is, is irrelevant. I said religious beliefs, and he makes clear in the video that they are his motivation.

He didn't say anything about safety measures. He spoke of laws intended to shut down the clinics.

Your dishonest, Dan.

Wrong, that's just your attempt as distraction. The problem, as I've been clear about, is the fact that his motivation is clearly legislating his religious beliefs, and has nothing to do with safety, which has been the claim for that bill.

Your dishonest, Dan.
He can have any motivation he wishes.

I agree with you that he wants them to shut down.

Yes, it appears the guy on the video is on a religious crusade.

Do you know if he's a sponsor of the bill? The story does not mention him.

This is a reasonable requirement.
I agree it is reasaonable.

I had a bad experience with a root canal once, and sometimes think dentists are not regulated enough. It should go with any procedure.

Where does a root canal procedure fit in with discusssion about women's clinic procedures? Either your train has sidetracked or derailed completely.

Isn't it amazing that every person that is on this topix discussion had a mother that chose life. I bet that makes all of you happy. I know it makes me very greatful. Just sayin.

Keep in mind what you just said. They chose life. That choise was their's and not a zealot cult or a publicity seeking politician making it for them. Leave that option open without interference from outside sources and this controversy will fade into the sunset.

You miss the point. The baby is a life whether you like it or not. For the mother to choose death takes away the babies choice to live.
