I was born in Jonesville Va and have many health problems that puzzle the doctors.Wow. Very interesting. My mother was born in Jonesville, Va. She was part melungeon, and died of a rare disease called myleo lympho proliferative disorder. Her doctor told her that this ailment usually only befell people of middle eastern descent. Perhaps another piece of the puzzle has been found.

Both my parents were born near Hawkins County Tennessee around 80 years ago. They were Melungeon.
Later in my life I became a scientist and have proof my family were not from a Muslim country or region. I've worked in Genetic researcher
most of my adult life in British Columbia.
The DNA of my lineage is a mixture of Portuguese and a strain of a native Southern Siberian peoples, translating to the native American Indian (both parents)
There is documentation of DNA proof for some Melungeons testing native West African also of which I am not. Its certain there are some with different DNA coding and I just wanted to share this with anyone interested.
I do get somewhat offended being classified on this forum as a Muslim. Its just that I am not .
