They're protesting because they don't want to get stuck with the other Spanish priest.

They want to get rid of him because he is probably traditional catholic.

The Camden Diocese preaches hatred towards all things Catholic and traditional. They recently changed the look of the catholic star herald. They even badmouth and slander Traditional Catholics and chapels and clergy like SSPX (Society of Pius X) In the past SSPX and independent catholic chapels were excommunicate the same time that the church forgave and protected pedophile priests who were raping and molesting innocent children. The hierarchy in the diocese and even Rome has all this formal education and yet they lack total common sense. Hello, Pope Benedict lifted the excommunication of traditional Catholics in 2009. So stop bad mouthing traditional Catholics you hypocrites.

They close down and oppressed many pre-vatican parishes, churches and schools and people.

They got rid of father murphy because he was too traditional and was preaching pro-life from the pulpit as he should.

Father Romanowski was forced out because he stuck up for st marys in malaga and was a traditional Catholic priest.

It seems anythinng Irish is shut down and merged while catering relatives, politicians of bishops and clergy.

For example there is a reason why there are so many churches in Bellmawr, nj. and they closed down st francis which is an older and better built church with school. The bishop has a cousin living in Bellmawr so his church remains open when it should be shut down. Money and cronyism talks.

How stupid is it to close down catholic schools during catholic school week. Why close and merge now when real estate is at its lowest. The Catholic church closings and traditional priest persecutions show lack weakness in leadershop and lack of faith in God.

Why is traditional Catholic chapels which is made of many young people with babies and children growing in numbers. Traditional Catholics like SSPX have more and more seminarians world wide.

it is not about rebellion or disobedience or hatred to the Pope, it is about the true Catholic faith. George Weigle even says that the church needs to go back to its roots if it is to over come all these sexual abuse, banking scandals.

even many from Rome are sick of all this sin and chaos and have even leaked vatican secrets and was later transferred...

A church Stanlaus whose parishioners has protested and held vigil has reopened full time with regular vatican II Mass unlike St. Mary's which is being jerked around by the vindictive corrupt diocese.

Before real estate dropped dioceses all over usa b ought properties for their mega vatican II mega churches which now are facing bankruptcy. Now the economyr is so bad and now is not time to close and merge anything. I guess when you are playing with other peoples hard earned money, you don't care.

How can we celebrate the anniversary of the diocese when the diocese has been destroyed by sin, sexs scandals, corruption and greed and stupidy.

They should be closing down and merging all of these dioceses and archdiocese as it was done in the past. This would free up many priests and cure the priest shortage.

Many of the parishes in camden diocese which has been closed and merged to one big rich parish has long survived religious persecution and was built and survived financially without being put in debt by greedy diocese.

Being Catholic means having sincere love for God, Our Blessed Mother and the true teachings of teh Roman Catholic.

Also, many from Notre dame school in buena, including the Police should now understand why people from Malaga, Nj were trying to save their church. We are sick of all the head games and propaganda. the cluser of parishes was to be done prior to decree. Also, even in the past it was the priest travelling for Mass from one to church to another. Not the people travelling all over south jersey....What kind of leadership thrives on priests fighting and persecuting other priests, parish fighting with other parish. Sexual abuse victim still to blame while many clergy within diocese is still living a lie and offer support pedophile priests from philadelphia...

Also, the diocese to use salem county catholics as an excuse to keep sacred heart open is a joke. It is a hike for salem county residents.
most catholics are sending kids to public schools and have left church. Do you need names??? There are many who send kids to gloucester catholic, or Delaware...

We are not stupid about the propaganda. Like the mergers are until they find a buyer for the parish. Also, misery likes company so they close down all the schools in area even ones they don't intend to close. And when they reopen that same closed school, it makes it look like the diocese have a change of heart... everyone is talking about sacred heart and no other school since is being reopened..

It looks like Gloucester catholic athletic fields will be in deptford, nj. The diocese over paid on a lot of properties before the real estate crash.

There is a lot of incompetence in the diocese and Rome. Just ask our new nuncio in DC, he'll back me up...Many in Rome is sick of liberal modernization, sex and banking scandals.

Not many clergy from the camden dicoese are praying their divine office. A priest who doesnt pray the divine office is a bad priest.

--taken from father sullivan

The Catholic Church inorder to remain in the world is not to be of the world.

Vatican II brought changes to Mass and prayers and, saraments, ordinations etc.

They should reinstate vows of chasity and poverty.

They said that the nun who is head Of Catholic Health and is an adversary of president obama and healthcare is making about a million dollars a year salary. So much for her vows of poverty..

The diocese can use its newspaper to promote their propaganda and criticize many.

We have a right as freedom of speech and religion to "correct" the vatican II dioces of camden. So if any one writes a letter to the editor to for example the courier post, it should be printed instead of catering to churchpolitics.

The sexual abuse scandals, vatican leaks, church closings have all been public worldwide. Bishop Galane is always talking to pat ciracci. Many newpapers were contacted by diocese with handpicked "catholics" who would jump off the bridge for money, power, etc. So, these people gave opinions that followed diocesan propaganda.

The merger of woodstown has failed. even many people from mullica hill and woodstown has forever left the church. Give it up. People are sick for overpaying 15 and wait to have mass said for deceased love one.

Mass should be held in church not parish center too.

Where did they get the community of holy spirit. The people didn't come up with it.

If the camden diocese had any brains, they would make Woodstown church stand alone chapel shrine to St Tekakwitha. dUH...POPE BENEDICT WILL MAKE BLESSED TEKAKWITHA A SAINT. I believe it was long suggested by a parishioner. at woodstown church there is a stainglass window depicting Tekawitha and already refers to her as a saint. The stain glass window was donated by the Hill family who are Native Americans and are still parishioners and living in Woodstown. In woodstown there is alot of bias against hispanics (who have native american blood), african americans and obviously native americans. in general, anti-Catholicism still exists.. and has been more so because of sex scandals etc.

It was decided to move whole parish of multi ethnic woodstown to rich and mainly white mullica hill. There were no african american parishioners, no hispanics, no native american parishioners on the core team just rich white catholics who wanted bigger and better things. The parish center is being used for non religious events recently it will be used for agricultur meeting which is a sacrilige.

Father odien is a priest who donated 300 bucks to abortion candidate and has been rewarded. marys malaga, per save st Father montoya is probably a good holy priest like father romanowski, rather ronan murphy..all forced out.

There is much envy and jealousy within diocese. They don't like popular priests who don't go along with their modern liberal agenda.

This is how ignorant father odien. he is busy bad slandering and giving a hard time to an 84 year old independet catholic priest just because he is pro-life and told him that he couldn't say Mass within diocese and yet we have protestant ministers using our churches one in glassboro another inpennsville.

Someone should advize the camden diocese that Pope Benedict the numero uno lifted the excommunication of independent Catholic priests including sSPX in 2009. The only renegades, herectics are priests like father odien and other sloths within the camden diocese.

SSpx and small chapels, seminaries and newly ordained priests are growing. People, especially young people are embracing traditional catholicism while the liberal corruped camden diocese embraces liberal modern which is the real why there is preist shortage, closing of church and schools. vows and ordinations are watered down and the sexual abuse is destroy vatican II church.

People want Catholicism not the watered "Catholic-lite...ask george wiegle..

Have you guys ever been at mass with the other Spanish priest? That's the reason they're protesting.
