Gasoline in Effingham area ranges from $1.86 to $1.99 per gallon. On Friday Nov. 14/08 gas was $1.99 per gallon and crude was $58.43. Today Feb. 18/08 gas is $1.99 at some outlets and crude closed less than $38.00. Who is screwing who? BTW, remember, if traveling out of town for any reason-Gas is cheaper than Effingham area.

T-Town always seems to be the cheapest around, the Marathon and Casey's are usually right even.
I figured out some time ago, that Effingham businesses usually set their prices higher than neighboring areas because they know folks will get off the interstate and want to find gas close, it used to just be North of Wabash that things were higher, but lately it seems to be all around.

Going out of town for any reason----Gas is a lot cheaper. Champaign $3.33 Decatur $3.35 Springfield $3.39. Effingham $3.65. What a bunch of crooks!
