Alleyoop was acquaintences with my grandma. She always thought very highly of him. I miss seeing him when I go to Effingham. You never knew what you were going to see! Would also like to know his final resting place and show my respects for my grandmother's sake. Does anyone know how I can do this?

He was Granville Davis, not Grandville. The first time my little sister saw him in his pink tutu, she was terrified. He realized he had her attention, so he did a little dance, and went on down the street with his shopping cart, just like every other day. He was super intelligent .I was told he was injured in the war, and had plates placed in his skull, but that may be just a rumor. He was not a threat to anyone. God rest his soul.

Apparently you don't know him very well because he absolutely hated being called alley oop. He would not have spoken to you, or at least not kindly, if you addressed him that way. I think it's disturbing how many gawkers want to go to his grave but where were all of these people when he was hungry or needed a ride? He's a real person not a cartoon character.

I knew him very well. His name was Granville. He was the most giving person you could ever meet. He knew what it was like to have nothing and wanted to make sure nobody else felt that way. One year after little mermaid had just come out, I had told him that I loved that movie. He came over close to Christmas with a little mermaid key chain and his Christmas pictures as a gift. He was fiercely loyal if he liked you. He bitched one of my former bosses up one side and down the other because he didn't like the way he talked to me. I hate all of the stupid bullshit rumors that people love to spread about him. Just because he looked different does not mean he was some pedophile it pervert. He had the balls to stand up for what he believed in a time when hardly anybody else did. He was way before his time and I miss him terribly.
