Thank God we have Pawlenty to make up for the deficient and irresponsible DFL legislative leadership.

Governor is simply doing his job, and doing it well. The legislators think we enjoy having them spend our money on their pet projects. We're already one of the highest taxed states in the nation....enough is enough..

Why can't the generous big spenders in the legislature make up my own mind for me? They are so benevolent, so wise, so virtuous, so spendthrift with other people's money!

Tough luck. Cut spending. Cut the budget......take a paycut yourselves just as we private citizens have had to do.

Government CANNOT do everything.

sorry, your inability to spell correctly and your ability to make up words that don't really exist, "slitter"? really ruined the little point you seemed to be trying to make.

Tax and spend y'all....like good little Liberal slaves to the State!

When that does not work, the politicians will fall back on, "The devil made me do it!" That goes for both parties. When will the voters learn?

Tim has to be the grown up, make the hard decisions that the one solution DFL (raise taxes) can't do.

Except we are not. I know the "Taxpayers" League of MN likes to peddle that old saw, but saying it over and over again doesn't make it true.

He's got Pawlenty of nerve trying to lay the blame at the DFL's doorstep. Just like his mentor, Junior Bush, Democrats will have to come in after this administration's disastrous 8 years and clean up the mess for years. What a fraud. It will be delightful watching this pathetic twerp get creamed on the national stage.

We need more politicians like Pawlenty that are looking out for the taxpayers money. The dems just want to "spread the wealth" by taking hard working people's money away from them.

So here's how your DFL'ers would "clean up" the mess: a $1 billion tax hike. Yup, a $1 billion tax hike. Didja get that? A $1 billion tax hike. On top of two tax hikes they passed last session. Minnesota, and unfortunately Wisconsin as well (under Democratic leadership) are becoming two of the highest taxed states. In Badgerland the Dems (governor and legislature) are increasing taxes on both citizens and business. What a great way to aide economic recovery? You tax-and-spenders just don't get it, and probably never will.

What we are seeing is the end of the GOP! We should all be cheering because they will not win another election. Once the DFL takes control we can implement things that actually help the poor and middle class rather than the rich. Tpaw is done and we should rejoice!
