Although completing ANCSA is clearly important and an economic necessity for shareholders, this current legislation causes too much displacement for other stakeholders that have used the same public lands Sealaska Corp. wants access to through this amendment. Severe economic displayment is not a responsible solution to concluding Sealaska's entitlement. Too many years have gone by for selections to be allowed outside of the withdrawal areas established by Congress in 1971.
