Edmond girls hit by vehicle while trying to watch apartment fire

What looked like a life-threatening accident Monday night, now has a happy ending.

Seriously, Where were the parents? This story should have some reflection on the neglegence of the parents. Since when do we allow unattendend children to run CLOSER to a huge fire? Whats next, taking our children to the next police standoff for a closer look..THE PARENTS ARE MORONS!

They said in the news report that they were with an adult friend of the family.....and only the two little girls got hit by the SUV, bet that was a lie...i think the little girls where walking back ALONE from the fire. Children are NOT EVER to be alone....!!!

I think the news media played a big part in this and the traffic at the area because they ran in on the air forever! One report even asked for you to send in any pictures that you take of the fire!

Talk about a buried lead! You don't tell what the "happy ending" is until the 6th paragraph! Without that piece of information, it looks like you're saying the fire was bad, but the happy ending is that two little girls were struck by a car.

Exactly why people need to stay away from emergency scenes. Let the emergency workers do their jobs and everyone else stay away so that you dont make the scene worse or make their jobs harder.

I know the 6 year old girl and their has been many incidents of neglect. Her father is locked up and her mother smokes weed all day. There has been many incidents such as the little girl trying to cook for herself and burning her stomach severely, the little girl at a gym in her apartments ALONE and hurt herself severely!!! All these cases required her to be in the hospital...why DHS has not taken this womans children is beneath me!

Seven and six are way too young to be out running around town. But it doesn't surprise me with Edmond. You would think with the affluent town would come higher I.Q's but I have found the opposite to be true.
Also, many at yard sales will practice dirty, cheating, underhanded dealings just to get rid of their stuff sold, and they wonder why their financial lives are in ruin, and about to lose their home.
