Recently, I spoke with a Morrow county representative about the growing population of sex offenders and sexual predators in my area.(As you can see from my blog home page, I have photos of my 4 children. I'm sure you can understand my concern in this matter.) I always knew that these filthy and disgusting creatures lived nearby my residence, but when I realized exactly how close they lived, I did major research on the laws concerning sex offenders. I'm taken back by the number of people that are registered as offenders. I went to the Morrow county Sheriff's Department web site to to a sex offender search.( the site is: http://www.icrimewatch.net/results.php... ) They have 108 sex offenders listed just in Morrow county alone! There are people within a 0.5 miles of my home...and many of them! My children walk to school right past the residences of these creatures. I thought sex offenders are not alllowed to live within a certain distance of a school, a park or other children, but apparently Morrow county doesn't see it that way. I understand that these vile creatures are everywhere, but it really hit home as to how many lived near me and my family.

I'm glad these registry searches exist. Without them, how would the public know where these creatures reside?
