I know he was sick for the past 2 yrs or so, we took my son to see him in May. He did not look well. I believe he may have had cancer. We will miss him. He was our Dr. for 16 yrs.

The last time I saw Dr. Mehta was when I took my college bound daughter for her physical. I realized he did not look good but he had the same wonderful smile and told my daughter, "Abena, you are a very beautiful girl". My children and I will miss him dearly. May he rest in peace.

We will all miss Dr Anil Mehta terribly. He was a great paediatrician to my son, for the last 12 years. We knew he had been battling cancer for a while now, but we thought he had started to do better...but the cancer won finally. God rest his soul, and our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

My daughter was his very first patient 39 years ago. Since then he has been the doctor of my six children and three grandchildren. I just saw him in May, and he said he couldn't wait until his daughter took over his practice so he could get some rest. My family is devastated. He will always be a part of our family. May he rest in peace.

I am Dr Mehta's wife. Not only he was an excellent doctor but he was a great husband & a great father. He was fighting cancer for many years with a smiling face. He was a real trooper! He enjoyed his work- taking care of children. Me & my family want to thank all of you for the prayers and all the support during the most difficult time of our lives.

Dr. Mehta was the best! He was my Doc from the time I was born to 23- my dad met his brother on the train to NYC when my mom was pregant with me and that's how he became my doc. Dr. Mehta's smile often times was the best Rx he could give you.
May god give his daughter the light to carry on Dr. Mehta's legacy.
May his soul rest.
