New York's most famous shoeless man stashes new boots

The homeless man who received a new pair of boots from a police officer in New York's Times Square last month in what became a nationally celebrated act of kindness is once again walking the streets barefoot, having hidden the boots.

Bless the officer for his act of kindness and generosity.
It's a shame; most people don't understand that losing a few toes to frostbite is better than losing your life hanging on to a pair of boots.
( He probably gave the socks away to homeless kids too)

You are correct.Those socks are providing warmth to twelve homeless kids.Kids are really something,,,they share the socks thruout the day.The morning kids pass them on to the afternoon kids,,,and so on ,,,,what a country,,,say

Actually that sock exchange happens here on Offbeat and the exchangers are homeless but are hopeless instead. Other than that, ya nailed it!
