I recently heard that several deputies at the Early County County Sheriff's Department have said that if Phillip Law became Sheriff that they would resign, because he's such an "Azz Hole". Jimmy Murkerson replied that if he found out what deputies said that he would fire them on the spot. Murkerson is all for Phillip Law becoming The new Sheriff so he can keep his hand in the business that goes on in Early County. It's bad enough that you work for one Azz hole, but to have your job threaten because you don't want to work for another. "We got to have a change".

How can such small town gov. cause people to be so big headed that they want their hand in it for a lifetime!! Well when your brother is the bondsman etc.???? That is one thing good about electing someone older instead of someone in their 30s. They won't be in it for such a long time to be a lifetime. Change is good. Elect Law and you keep Murk is my opinion.

The people do not want Law. We vote and we will not vote him in because we do not know him.Try calling him and see how long he will take to return your call if he returns it at all.

I doubt if you will get a response from any of these individuals. Some people can't be bold enough to openly take out an ad stating their feelings.

It as well could be job suicide to have an election sign in your yard if you worked at the SO. Lets face it. Jobs are scarce in the county and those that have one want to keep it.

I can't say that it would happen but the new sheriff could make life rather hard for an individual if they knew that person did not support him in his running for office. It would be difficult and ignorant to fire all deputies at once but things could be made so hard for the ones that were non supportive that they quit.
The way it is

Sad that this could and might happen. I believe I know who they are wanting to get it or most of them.

It is time people stop being afraid and speak up, but if they can not for fear of losing their job they can at least vote for an honest man. A good man would not fire or make it hard on a person just because of their political views. People in Blakely need to look real hard at the individuals running and think what kind of values and morals the person has before the vote.

The chosen one is not L. The people vote and they will vote for the best man running.

He might be the chosen one for a few but not the majority. The majority are not the well off.

Even the ones in Blakely with money are not for L from what I hear. Just because a person has money does not mean they do not have common sense to recognize a good honest person from a one that is not nearly up to par. They know what par is!

I know the sheriff has been out a while sick. How long has P.Law been the patrol supervisor?
