When renting an apartment in the Twin Cities, think twice before sending that deposit to Nigeria.

People need to learn to read. Unless you are talking directly to the owner or property manager, you don't ever send money anywhere. Craigslist is for face to face transactions, if you see any add that says send money anywhere, flag it and report it to [e-mail]
