i grew up in that little town and loved it.. I left and moved to the south when i was 16.. I come back from time to time to see my family that lives there and that place hasn't changed hardly at all.. I see the local taverns have new owners and an extra stop lite here and there.. But when i was up there last time, something puzzled me.. What is up with those buildings that got built in the middle of the parking lots downtown?? Just curious..

LOL!!

They couldn't get any successful businesses in the old buildings--did you notice all the empty storefronts across the street from the big huge fiasco? So I guess they thought the way to solve that problem was by erecting MORE empty building space downtown. Go figure.

That's what happens when you have a young mayor at the time that won't listen to anyone. He was more worried about that monstrosity than filling and retaining businesses here.

It such a shame to see the town like it is these days.. i remember growning up there and back in the day there was always something new coming in.. admitingly its not a big town but it was a town ur kids could ride there bike or play at central park without fear.. I usually come up about twice a year to visit my dad and family that still live there and can't help but fall in love with it everytime im there..

Ever since I was a little girl, I've been a huge fan of deceased actor (Marlin) Jim Davis, who was born in Edgerton in 1909. I can't find much info on his bio through the internet & I was just wondering if anyone from Edgerton remembers him or his family. My email is [email protected]
