It's not really discrimination; it's simply telling someone to not display a particular image at school because it's a distraction to others. The only discriminatory thing about this is that the school should have said "no band t-shirts at all" and not mentioned anything about ICP. Almost every band that kids now listen to uses explicit lyrics and messages, not just ICP. This high school just researched ICP when they should have researched all the popular bands that have t-shirts or other clothing being worn by their students. Bottom line, the school made a decision, and the students need to grow up and just put on a different t-shirt, and most importantly, these kids' parents need to wise up and stop defending their kids when it's clearly their kids that are causing the problem. These kind of parents just want to be their kid's friend, rather than a parent and authority figure. Dicipline your own kids for christ's sake...

So your saying that its not discrimnatory for a principal to remove only one band shirt that only has the letters ICP on them and not others band shirts that say and display a hell of a lot more on their shirts? Maralyne Manson!!! And as far as growing up goes, these people are standing up for something that means a lot more to them then what you think it does. They are standing up for what they believe is right and if my son or daughter felt that strongly about something like this i would support them the same way. It seems like you need to grow up and learn to question authority.
