The new movie 2012 What is your judgment?

Since this movie start showing in theaters now I see so many post even in myspace people saying that the world it's going to end for real on 2012.

People talk about what the mayans predicted that everything had happend already and that they year calendar ends exactly on 2012..

Well what are your thoughts about all this ???
I would like to know what you think..

2012 or tomorrow, people need to be ready. You could get hit by a bus or run over by a car walking to get the mail. I haven't heard of the movie so I'm not sure how it is portraying the "end." I just know that it sure sounds a lot like the hype right before the infamous Y2K garbage. Simply my opinions.

It is only the end of the Mayan's perceived calendar. For them it's something like a time of atonement. And that the world of war, famine, hate, and other awful things are over and it's a new dawn of time. That's all.

For the non-Mayans to cherry-pick a small part of the Mayan religion and apply it to the Biblical story of Armageddon is LAME!!! Sadly many love to follow hype, intrigue, and mystery. Somehow it's a bit sexy. Enough info to be dangerous. But not enough info to keep from worrying about the end of the world.

The 2012 thingy, makes for interesting sci-fi movie fodder. But unless you are a practicing worshiper of the Mayan Popol Vuh, the 2012 prophecy has nothing to do with you.

Honestly, no man on earth can predict the certain end of the world. But it is always good to prepare, because who knows what tomorrow can bring to one just stepping off their from curb.

It was a fun PG 13 movie. Almost the end of the world. The Dad did good.

i didnt care for it ...... it was too fake , i mean , the ground cracking behind him while he drove and plane just got off the ground and the ground cracked ...... i thought it should have never been made ...boring

I always thought it would be cool if a video short was made of the mayans while they were creating the calender. It would show one person working on it, and as he got so far, someone comes into view and tells that person, "stop going so far into the future. Come to a stopping point so we can go eat."

And that calender creator just happened to stop on that particular date.... that would be funny, because we're reading so much into it, and he just came to a stopping point and went to grab some food.
