I agree. The phrase is not clever, funny, or cute, nor does seem to actually help sell burgers. I'm ashamed for the Lion's Tap owners and the ad agency that came up with it for McDonald's.

I've got a "Who's your patty?" t-shirt there 4 years ago. Wouldn't be bad, except the McDonalds burger is completely disgusting and the only way it should be uttered in the same breath as Lion's Tap is saying they are getting sued...although just not for a crappy burger. Mmm, Lion's Tap.

Correction: From my previous post I noticed that the card and the shirt were added one year ago, not last weekend. A minor plus for the Lion's Tap. I have seen a number of Lion's Tap commercials on cable and assorted print ads. I can't recall any "Patty" mention.

The local comparison might be Amazon.com versus Amazon bookstore. It's a big stretch to compare the two. Someone would need to be aware of the Lion's Tap use of the slogan, see an McDonalds ads and "confuse" the two.
