Belzoni police officer found guilty of extortion

Belzoni Police Officer James Kenny Terry was found guilty Wednesday on three counts of extortion after he attempted to extort money from an undercover Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agent. via The South Mississippi Sun Herald

I have live in Belzoni all my life, until three years ago.It's alot of wrong doing that goes on around their.alot of fake cops.he's not the only one,he's just the first one that got caught.

I think it's not fair for him to go down by himself...more than James Kenny Terry have gotten money and use it in the wrong way...I think all the cops should go down right along with him....All the new things they've gotten sonfar and all the young teenage girls they're mallested and no one hasn't complained about it yet...SO TELL US WHY THIS MAN SHOULD BE LOCKED UP WHEN HE'S NOT DOING ANYTHING CONCERNING THE SEX OFFENDERS THEY CALL "POLICE"..lock them up as well..they all should go down if James Kenny Terry is going down for something he didn't do own his own...my question is "IS HE SCARED TO TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT THE REST OF THESE POLICE...?

I agree, there are plenty of dirty/grimy cops there in Belzoni. A couple weeks ago I found out about how some of the cops on the police department will waive giving tickets to females if the female(s) agrees to have sex with the officer. Not only that, but a couple of the cops ride around dirty... driving cars that dont belong to them without insurance... riding motorcycles that arent even registered or insured... I found out a lot about that police department from unfortunetly being envolved with an officer from there.

I think that what was done to Kenny was wrong and a total disgrace. i really believe that because he was running for sheriif and they knew it was a strong possibility of him winning because of his chacrter, they way he carried himself and the respect that the public has for him. he may or may not have done what he was blamed for. There are a lot of crooked people in Belzoni and i'm not just talking about officers. My last comment is to the family. Keep your head held high and your trust in God. Everything is going to be alright. Kenny is one of the good guys. unfortunately those are the ones who suffers but in the end it's all good. Let kenny know that i love him. i wanted to come by but did,nt know what to say. God bless and keep praying.

you is so much right i always known for mr.kenny to do his job better than any other cop in belzoni plus he always did a good job these sorry ass police in bezoni is no good and the one they should of got was eli,ross,white and the reason i say that cause didn't of them stood by mr.kenny side that why they all goimg through the problem now but i know that i will keep mr.kenny iin my prayer and hope he get out soon so he can be the next sheriff for belzoni your # 1 fan.

I'm born & raised in Belzoni, & Kenny was a fake. You people try to talk good about Kenny & he was just as crooked as the rest. The whole police & sheriff department are fakes. Don't try to talk good about Kenny & you don't know the whole story. Kenny had no chance of winning to become sheriff, & the sheriff that's in there now shouldn't be as well as the mayor. The county as a whole has gone down & it's going to continue to do so until the state step in & do more investigating on both departments as well as city & county officials.
