Child abuse in Vermont: Prosecution

The Department of Children and Families reports that the number of cases where children have been abused has gone down in recent years.

How dare vermont pat themselves on the back. they are well known for not investigating abuse. I know of many...I said many children who have fallen through the cracks. Vermont is not a safe place for children

I wonder why nothing was mentioned of the CHINS violations of Abuse and Neglect that are taken care of in Family Court? This article speaks as though every substantiated situation is covered in Criminal Court. Why not talk about what happens with Case Plans?

U know it's not the whole state of vt thats fucked up right?? cause where I live we don't have any of these problems! and no i don't live in st. johnsbury I just don't know how to change my location... but I will agree that some of vermont isn't safe for children but at the same time where are the parents in all this?? I have 2 children and I don't let them nowhere near out of my sight! I think most of vermonts problem is we have way tooo many welfare rats up here and the state won't kick em off the "system" and they keep having more kids to get more of us taxpayers money! yeah we should pass jessica's law... I think we should have the death penalty too! I'm all about an eye for an eye... I think that all sex offenders should go to jail 1st offense a min of 25 yrs.

Well, I don't happen to agree that the whole state is f_____ up~!!! And YOU might be surprised to one day learn about the abuse going on right under your nose... I differ than you, in that being a 5th generation Vt'er causes me great concern where we're all "lumped into one backet"...

Agree, that the breakdown of our society was when WELFARE was the only way, back the, was to "help those in need"... Hmmm, that was back in the 60's I believe and just think of the generations since that time who have the "attitude that the world owes them a living"...

Oh, you're much kinder than I as I've often stated that these men (women) should have their privates cut off and grafted on their forehead~!! That way, no matter where they choose to roam, they're identifyable. Someone once said "It's a good thing you're not a judge"...
My belief is: that when we have a problem and we do NOTHING to solve the problem, then we become a part of that situation.
I'd love to share with you what my solution to this for the State of Vt., but will have to draw up a letter for my favorite person at Capital City, Vt. with my "idea". You see, I'm not only related to some-one who stands accused, but am a "survivor" myself.
