Marlowe returns to court

A special judge gave attorneys until Oct. 3 in Harlan Circuit Court on Friday to come up with a plea offer in the Hugh Marlowe murder case from 1981.

I agree people like hugh marlowe do put a bad stink in the air but after 26 years in jail i;d say he has packed a lot of fudge

I would be affraid to lay down and sleep at night or have my children walk to school knowing he was out no one would be safe ,if someone would kill a defenceless 78 year old man they wouldnt care who they killed .he has 26 years of anger built up in him ,you can see the devil in his eyes, look at the paper he looks scarey .if he gets out remember his face just incase you meet in in a alleyway or in broud daylight on the railroad tracks thats where he killed Henry Hamblin. when Iwas little my mamaw told use to stay off the railroad tracks or the sack man would get us , well Hugh Marlowe is the sackman!!

My name is Monte Brock, son of Henry's Daughter. Henry Hamblin was my grandfather. I was ten when he and owens made the choice to beat him until his skull parted and his brain protruded.

My family will always be the victim. There is no escape, there is no end. We have lived with the choices that marlowe and owens made each day since. It all comes back with every parole hearing, every appeal, every time we are called for jury duty to serve our own civil duty.

He states that it was the horrendous abuse suffered as a child that caused him to kill my family. He says that he saw his father in the man he beat to death, not my grandfather. Was it his father that he waited in attack for on those train tracks??? No.

For those of you who stand to support this Predator, may God himself protect you, for you may undermine the ability of the law to do so by his release. I also respect your right to defend your opinion, but respect my right to oppose you.
