Disappointed that there were some negative views about the Songster, no. A lot of negative views went towards Miss G in her days, but she still instilled a sense of dignity in those of us that believed we were better for believing in the talents that we had, and not being involved in the gang banging that is so very much apart of the trap of inner cities of today, or get trapped in the arrogant attitudes of ignorance which forests an attitude to dump on others accomplishments. Gay, I am not, not that it should matter. And I guest working with accomplished performers like: Sean Penn, Forest Whitaker, John C. Reilly, Willem Dafoe , Mel Gibson, Billy Zane, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Corin Nemec, Danny Glover, Denis Leary, Don Harvey, Doug E. Doug, Frank Langella, Fred Ward, Geena Davis, Gregory Hines, Iain Glen, John Leguizamo, Kevin Dillon, Matthew Modine, Robert Downey Jr., and Robin Williams and performing on stage in Las Vegas; performing and working with the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Art makes me a proud Songster loser, so be it. Cheers to you songsters that are.

Musical genre, most often a personal choice, customarily reflexes environments that we are raised in, however; sometimes it is an indication of our limitations in the access to, or limitations in ability of musical styles that abound us. Steve Wonder, one of Detroit’s greatest vocalists doesn't sing Hip hop/Rap. Eminem, whose Rap/Hip hop songs are chart topping, but he does not sing opera. Maybe he can, but would you want to listen?
Those who join the Songsters choose to be there for that particular genre. The Ecorse Choir existed, but during the time that I was in the Songster, it was the Songsters that performed most often outside of the school to the Ford Foundation amongst others. And we did sing some “afrikan american” songs. We didn’t label them as African-American songs, but great songs and music.
All students were welcomed to join the Songster, many did not because they didn’t want Miss G to have that control or they just didn’t like the genre of music,“a personal choice”.
By the way this gay thing, what’s with that? Not that it matters, but dude, I’ll put my, my cousins and my best friend’s man credentials up against yours any day. Dude give it a rest.

A hero can be defined by the very character of their actions; be they small; be they large. And it is the intent of those actions that touch us in so many ways that teaches us, leads us, inspires us to seek out the goodness, the greatness of our potential, and shape our personalities. Miss G helped me not only reach the right understanding but helped guide me to an ultimate understanding.
My heart will always be a Songster and sing to the praise of my hero Miss G. Rest in Peace

Here's to the winners - lift up the glasses .
Here's to the glory still to be.
Here's to the battle, whatever it's for,
To ask the best of ourselves, then give much more.

Here's to the heroes - those who move mountains.
Here's to the miracles they make us see.
Here's to all brothers - here's to all people
Here's to the winners all of us can be.

Here's to the heroes - those who move mountains.
Here's to the miracles they make us see.
Here's to all brothers - here's to all people
Here's to the winners all of us can be.
