In cases like fire it truelly is a tragidy, what compounds those wounds is when those family members closest use the money for ill gotten reasons. The funds set up at regions bank was never applied to the funeral and the donation jars that were set up around the community was layed in the pocket of the one person who lost the least.A parents love should feel so much lose that they would do anything it took to make sure that there only daughter would be taken care of properly. And do as she would have done and kept her word. And put the proceeds where they were supposed to go!

I agree with the 1st comment. It is so sad that a mother takes donations meant for her childs funeral expense and does not apply it where it was intended to go , her funeral but instead the father and grandmother has to take care of it. It is really sad when you consider all the kids who helped raise money to help bury their friend and she does not apply it there. The proceeds that go to her goes in her pocket and she is frauding the public for her benefit. any donations should go to the father or grandmother so it will go where it should. I can't imagine his pain of losing his daughter and not being able to reach her and have your ex-wife take funds meant to bury her for her own needs and not pay for the funeral. I donated but it was to mike so it would go where it should in suzettes memory. She should be procuted for fraud against the public.

I agree the mother should be charged with fraud. She has defrauted the public to help with funeral expenses for her daughter and has not paid toward this. All donations were for funeral expenses or so I thought. anyone making a donation needs to see it goes to the right people (mike & his mother) so it will go where it should be going instead of her pocket. I still have a hard time with this that any mother would ask for help with her childs funeral and not apply it there. Everyone who has donated should be outraged. How sad!

It would be different if she applied the money to her daughter funeral and pay for it first. I donated but it was to mike so it would go where it should in suzettes memory. This should be investigated in my opinion.

Well! my faith is restored. She has started giving part of the money(last night) to mike to help cover the funeral expense. Lets hope this continues untill her funeral is pd. for completely. I will donate again but to the right person. Some of his pain has to be eased some what.

I think you need to hear all of the facts not just the gossip of a one sided story.Funds are not always made available the moment you donate to them. I know this family has had a tragic loss and it always has to be someone else's fault but hey SHE GAVE BIRTH TO THIS CHILD. Don't put her down until you know everyside of the story and every detail. One person's view is never enough to base an educated decision on. How does it feel now that you can not retract those statements about her?
