As the mother of a son who was difficult to raise, and has become difficult again due to a crisis in his own family, I'm glad I didn't abort my son, and I'm sure the mother who was murdered felt the same way about her son. Most mothers' primal instinct is that way.

That said, the son needs to spend time in prison to pay for his crime. I suspect his conscience will punish him more than being in prison will.

It could happen that he has no conscience, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until he proves otherwise. If he proves otherwise, then I agree he must pay for this crime with his own life.

I heard on a different news outlet that this kid was a popular athlete and good student. Something must have happened to make him snap. Very strange. His father turned him in, so I can't imagine what he is going thru right now.

NO, Not prison, A life sentence translates to approx. 12 years. Then he'll be released and become a repeat offender. I'll quote Ted Nugent here, I don't like repeat offenders, I like dead offenders! Any S.O.B that could kill his own mother has NO CONSIOUS, And what would he have to stop him from another rampage?

what the hell is going on in society these days, that everyone wants to murder others. and they wonder why with all this going on right here in our back yards. in the last three weeks in franklin county alone there were a couple very sensless murders including one lastnight that claimed the lives of 2 innocent children. is this what people now consider a normal way to deal with stress, depression etc. so what do we do???? put people in jail so we the tax payers support them..hell no....i say eye for and eye. if you kill someone for any other reason that self defense (knowing someone will kill you) you should die to. if we had tough justice maybe just maybe people would think twice before committing these horrific crimes.

In Pennsylvania...if a person gets life in prison.... they do not get out...like other states.. LIFE MEANS LIFE. as far as the death penatly, there are several hundred people on pennsylvanias death row...none have been executed in years...which is a damn shame

He was a good kid, he wasn't a trouble maker at all. Something had to happen to make this horrible thing happen, this was not the Andrew that I knew, but he does need to pay for what he did. Sharon was a fantastic person who would do anything for anyone. It's not my job to judge him that's God's job.
