Here's few questions? Who put the baby in the car seat? If the mother did, then why would she think that baby was with other relatives? Why did it take so long for someone to notice the baby was missing? How did the grandmother know where the baby was?

Sometimes I assume one of my family members takes the trash out. Since they forget more often than not I always check. How can anyone assume their child is with another family member without checking it out?

You know it is really hard being a parent, you get tired and you don't even have to take a test or study before you conceive. I have two, and I'm not the best parent but I have never left my two in a car, I have lost my child in a store I worked in for about two minutes because I was with about 6 of my family members but that is all it took (two mins)for me to realize that he was not with any of us, not twelve hours. No she does not deserve her child back, the child is not worth much to her. But unfortunately she will get the baby back, hopefully she will be better because most foster care situations are even worse sometimes.

This is sad. I do understand when situations occur that you can make assumptions about certain things including the whereabouts of your children. But this goes to show you that we really need to be focused on what really is the most important, and one of those things is our children.

How do you not know where your 4 year old is?!!!! Not to mention, with several vehicles involved, looks like there were alot of irresponsible people. I think this family needs to get their priorties in order.

It sickens me any loser off the street and give birth, I was a 19 year old mother and never did I put my child in a dangerous situation. I can't believe it didn't occur to her to check and make sure someone was in charge of this 4 year old.

Please, sounds to me like she just wanted to be one less kid. Just goes to show you, even idiots can breed.

And, the above person to comment about a head count is right on!! You always make sure you've have got your group together.

She probably will get the child back, and it would not surprise me if we did not hear about this child again. Next time the poor baby may not be so lucky.

Head Count is correct!
I take a head count every few minutes when my kids are playing in the back yard. And I only have 2. Was this woman drunk or on drugs? How can a mother be so careless? That poor child. I can not even imagine how scared that baby must have been. He had to use the bathroom on himself. He had nothing to drink. He probably cried himseld to sleep. How sad! He could have died from the heat the next morning. If the state would take that child from his jerk of a mother, I will adopt him. May God continue to protect that child since his mother is not doing it at all.
