I am Command Chief Master Sergeant Chalma Lee Sexton, Jr., USAF (Retired).
I am the first born child and son of Chalma Lee Sexton, Sr. I am your father's paternal half-brother and your uncle. Here is what I know.
Robert contacted me about twelve years ago. He found me through our paternal great aunt Shirely. She was living in Montgomery, Alabama. By the way, Chalma Lee Sexton, Sr., was originally from Montgomery, Alabama. My mother met him when he was in the United States Navy and temporarily assigned in New Orleans, Louisiana. That's where they married, conceived me, and shortly after my birth, divorced.
Your father, Robert, went through his entire adult lfe thinking he was Chalma Lee Sexton, Sr.'s first born child and son.
I never knew our father and he had no contact with me.
In 1962, he attempted to contact me through my mother. This was via telephone. HE CALLED ONCE AND THAT WAS THE LAST TIME, AS FAR AS I KNOW, HE ATTEMPTED ANY CONTACT.
In 1983, I was undergoing a background check for a security clearance to attend the FBI National Academy, Quantico Mrine Base, Virginia. It was then I learned he was in frison at the federal correctional facility, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
In 1991, I was escorting a military prisoner to the military side of that same facility. It was then I learned, he was still, "doing time." The head military correctional supervisor had once served under me in the USAF. He offered to arrange a visitation. I DECLINED. THIS MAN HAD NEVER TRIED TO BE A FATHER FOR OVER FORTY YEARS AND MY POSITION WAS, IT WAS TOO LATE TO START NOW.
According to, "Aunt Shirely," mine and your fathrer's sister, Teresa was married and living in Florida. This was in 1984. Also, our brother Michael Sexton, was apparently killed in a car crash some time in the late 1970's or early 1980's.
Your father's contact with me, in the early 1990's was not a pleasant experience. I will lewave out the details except to relate I changed my phone number and made it unlisted after his contacts AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY, SEVERAL DAYS A WEEK.
My mother died in September 2008 at age 79. SHE WAS A "KATRINA SURVIVOR." I took care of her until she died.
As far as I know, Chalma Lee Sexton, Sr. is dead. He was released from prison in the mid-1990's.
You have a first cousin, Heather - my daughter. She is 33 years old.
Like you, I spent time, several years ago, attempting to find, "THE LOST SEXTONS." I would like to respectfully give you some advice. Here it is:
"FINDING THE SEXTONS IS NOT A ROAD YOU WANT TO TRAVEL."

Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it. I had actually located your profile
on the internet and figured that you were my uncle because of the name.:) I didnt contact you because I really didnt want to drag you into any of this and I had already figured that Chalma had never been there for you, like he has done all of his kids, it seems. And Chalma Sr. is still alive, He is serving five years right now in a local jail in my area. He is 81 now. I dont waste my time on him anymore, he refuses to help me in my search. So, I dont bother with him.
