Bridgeport tree-lighting set for Dec. 5

The annual downtown Christmas tree-lighting ceremony will take place on Dec. 5 at 4 p.m., officials announced late Wednesday.

The tree lighting on McLevy Green is a nice event and it looks so nice. Kids of all ages love it. I'm wondering why its on a Saturday this year, usually all the downtown workers like going over to see it when they get off work.
