How about this. Now pay attention. ONLY WRITE EVERYTHING IN ENGLISH. That way they will be forced to learn ENGLISH quickly and on there own. Stop taking my money and giving it away.

I remember when I was a kid, all the instructions for anything you had to assemble were in ENGLISH. All the labels on packaging were in ENGLISH. All the TV programming was in ENGLISH. People used to come to this country to become American citizens and to do that they learned the language of the Country. Now immigrants come here and set up their own little 3rd world countries within our borders, most not even attempting to become Americanized.

In agreement with the 'Old Phart', I'd like to mention the additional expenses this must incurr. To have a variety of languages added to most instructions, has surely helped to drive up the sale prices of these items. Which we ALL pay for, even the immigrants. And also to 'Fed Up', I agree that by catering to our Nation's Free Speech Act,(which apparently includes every tongue spoken), and perhaps by not enforcing our other newer law that states that our Nation's Language IS to be english, that we are enabling these added expenses. It certainly makes it easier for 'them', doesn't it? While recognizing that there has been, and will always be cliques, clans, and clubs, we do need to realize that most of our english words were originally derived from our very own ancestors, who (hello) came from other countries. We've all come from 3rd worlds. In fact, NONE of us would be here if it weren't for our Founding Fathers. Actually, WE are the 3rd world. Our country is still in its infancy of 300+ years compared to where the immigrants have come from. How selfish it is to say that we should make them learn on there own. Don't you remember going to school to learn english! You got help, why can't they? Perhaps if more Americans, like the Fed Up Old Pharts, would be more willing give a hand to a struggling neighbor, then maybe it could cost less money for us all. Many of these people/families are refugees that have had to run for their lives, to come here to have safe and better lives, just as our ancestors did. To be free. Most of them have had terrible experiences, that we could only think of as our worst nightmare. Give them a break. What if it were you and your family. Wouldn't you like to be welcomed?

My grandparents came to this country from Europe 'progrom' and guess what they had to pay for their English lessons.

Giving a helping hand - been doing it but I need my hand in my pocket because it is being picked. Helping hand is one thing being robbed is another. Enough is enough.
