Colchester man injured in Thompson Speedway accident

THOMPSON - A Colchester man was injured and a Massachusetts man killed this afternoon in an all-terrain vehicle accident at Thompson International Speedway.

one must remember that in March 1970 Todd Vescovi's father Thomas was involved in an horrific auto crash on the southampton/easthampton line that killed five young men ages 18-25. he was charged, sentenced, served some time in jail..the deceased included Ray "Gussie " Gosselin, Richard Huard and the others who i am looking up their names in my files..this where i will leave my comments..for now.

What does one have to do with the other. The man just lost his son, what does it matter what he did 36 years ago. He served his time and nobody deserves to bury their son.

Are you kidding me? Why must one remember that? It is unbelievable to me that someone would be as ignorant as yourself to even make such a comment. Those two things have nothing to do with eachother and his father is a wonderful man. As was Todd. If you think children should be punished for what their parents do or did, I pray you do not have children. It would be a shame for them to be raised by a person like yourself, that would be punishment enough. Loser!

for Tom , Amanda , Todd's child , and the rest of his family , it is with a heavy heart that I write this posting , I used to race with Todd and Toam " back in the day " as we say it now , I started racing in 1987 and stopped in 1992 , during my race days I got to know the Vescovi family and enjoyed many laughs and fun times together , while Todd was a youth rider at the time , I stopped racing when the track we primarily ran ( Southwick ) stopped racing ATV's on a regular basis . Some 11 years later I learn of the unfortunate passing of a dear friend and my very first sponsor Mr Darren Naccarato , Darren and his parents had a huge impact on the ATV race community and he has been sadly missed , I raced in his memorial race and got to talk with his mom Shirley and dad Jim , remembering old times , talking of the motor home races we had over in Tenn @ the Nationals . I didn't race last season due to an injury @ work , but decided that I would run the last race of the NEATV season , I saw another old friend from " back in the day " and we talked for close to an hour , it was then I learned of this tragic event that has taken yet another great person that I used to know and race with . While I am going through my own personal struggles in my family , I want the entire Vescovi family to know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers , as well as my brother Michael , sister Kathy , and my mother Barbara , Mike used to race and mom and Kathy used to travel with us as well. Todd will be sadly missed , but will never be forgotten . Best wishes to you all.

Todd and i grew up together from 3rd grade on.He was my best friend. We grew apart when he went to smith voc and started to act alittle crazy.No matter what Todd was there for me as i was for him, i was heading to his funeral from delaware and was involved in an accident in New York,hence i didn't make it.Which i will never let my self live down the fact i couldn't spend that last minute with him.To all that have sh&^%t to say about him,look me up i will deal with you.believe that!!!!!!!!!1

I just recently found out todd past away when family came to visit me here in NY, Todd was a great kid we grew up together through middle school into highschool til i moved to NY. He was the best he would always bring a smile to everyones face. There was no fear in his eyes when he got on his four wheelers or dirtbike , so many memories he would make us all laugh when he would do his Andrew Dice Clay impressions lil mis muffet, lol.. I'll never forget ya Scovi. And my condolences go out to Todd's Family.

I remember Todd from a race he visited in Indiana PA (1995). He was a gorgeous and great guy to hang around. We hung out that night. He gave me one of his racing shirts.

I was surfing the net one day, curious as to what Todd was up to and came across the story of what happened.

I rode in the USHRA Monster Jam truck shows with him from 1995-1997. This is very sad.

He was my second cousin and i miss him a great deal. me and my uncle tom, and his mother carol (my aunt) will always remember him...... :-(
