And I suppose you are saying that true just happen to be yours. Let's see the church of Christ is not even found in scripture but the church of God is in there about 9 times. Do you have any brethern in those churches? Romans 16:16

The Pentecostal churches of today are about 100 years old. That would include the Church of God. So the church of God we read about in the new testament is not the Church of God denomination we see today.

In Aug 5, 2009 George Sodini, 48, of Scott Township, Pa. who opened fire on an exercise class of women in a Pittsburgh gym, killing three people and himself. He wrote in his blog just before committing the sin of murder:

"I need to remain focused and absorbed COMPLETELY. Last time I tried this, in January, I chickened out. Lets see how this new approach works. Maybe soon, I will see God and Jesus. At least that is what I was told. Eternal life does NOT depend on works. If it did, we will all be in hell. Christ paid for EVERY sin, so how can I or you be judged BY GOD for a sin when the penalty was ALREADY paid. People judge but that does not matter. I was reading the Bible and The Integrity of God beginning yesterday, because soon I will see them."

Sam Morris, Baptist preacher in Stamford, TX wrote an article entitled, "Do A Christian's Sins Damn His Soul"? Here is a quote from the article:

"We take the position that a Christian's sins do not damn his soul. The way a Christian lives, what he says, his character, his conduct, or his attitude toward other people have nothing whatever to do with the salvation of his souls...And all the sins he may commit from murder to idolatry will not make his soul in any more danger."

Bill Foster, Baptist preacher in Louisville KY made this comment:

"If I killed my wife and mother and debauched a thousand women I couldn't go to hell--in fact, I couldn't go to hell if I wanted to."

Although these statements appear repulsive, they genuinely represent the official view of most evangelical churches.

Notice what we read in (John 17:10).

10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

Church of God is just another way of describing the Lords Church (or Church of Christ),not another church.
