Am i the only one on the planet that has a problem with this? It floors me that you can KILL someone- and have a decent chance of not going to jail?!! this kid was clearly high/had drugs on him...left the scene, turns himself in THREE hours later- and everyones just- "oh, that happens..." NO IT DOESNT. PEOPLE WHO KILL PEOPLE SHOULD GO TO JAIL

It is time we clean up these kinds of judge who allow others to cause these types of crimes and allow the offender to walk free.
Give me a break!
The best solution is to vote for judges who are concerned with protecting the innocent and allowing this scum to walk free.

Kevin F. Hurteau

TOWN OF CLAY, ONONDAGA COUNTY -- We have an update on a story that we first brought you last week. We are getting our first look at a man accused of sexually abusing a nine-year-old boy while his mother and uncle were in another room just a few feet away.
38-year-old Kevin F. Hurteau of Pine Tree Drive in Ilion has been charged with sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child after his arrest late last week at a Fort Plain carnival, east of Utica.
According to the victim's family, Hurteau asked an acquaintance (the victim's uncle) if he could spend the night at his home after working a carnival at the Great Northern Mall in the Town of Clay. The uncle agreed.
While the victim's uncle and mother were in a bedroom looking at sites on the internet, the alleged abuse occurred on a living room couch. The mother and the uncle say they had only stepped out of the room for a few minutes.
The victim approached his uncle the following day to tell him what happened and the family immediately called State Police, who conducted an investigation. Hurteau was arrested at the carnival in Fort Plain a few days later.
Hurteau is being held on $25,000 cash bail. He will make his first court appearance this week in the Town of Clay.
