Mitchell W. Ace, 29, of East Stroudsburg, passed away Friday, April 17.

Born March 2, 1980, in Easton, he was the son of John Richard and Candice (Kocher) Ace of East Stroudsburg and had lived in Monroe County all of his life. A graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and Drexel University, he was a self-employed painter.

Mitchell was a member of the Stroudsburg United Methodist Church.

He was an avid fisherman and hiker and had a love for animals.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Sherri Ace and her fiance, Kevin Carroll, of Ambler; two brothers, Jonathan Ace and Elliott Ace, both of East Stroudsburg; his companion, Shae Jones of East Stroudsburg; his paternal grandmother, Betty M.(Houck) Ace of East Stroudsburg; his maternal grandparents, W. Rex and Dorothy Kocher of Bangor; his great-grandmother, Eleanor Kocher of Benton; a niece, Emily Morin of Ambler; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Troy Kevin Ace.

There will be a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, in the funeral home, followed by burial in Shawnee Presbyterian Cemetery.

Memorial remembrances may be made to Camp Papillon Pet Adoption and Rescue, P.O. Box 332, Stroudsburg, PA 18360, or to the Gregory Moyer Fund, P.O. Box 365, Shawnee, PA 18356.
