Anyone who believes that making drugs legal need only read this story. The effect of drugs obviously over rode her maternal instinct. I used to be a terrible driver when i was younger. When my child was small,I not only drove slower but was reluctant to try to hurry thru an amber light. Sad for the baby who has a screwed up mother.Hope someone else is in the kids life to help out.

If the pot was leagal she would no be in this mess. She could have just gone to the store and purchased a bag of weed and then had some cookies to eat. No need for the hand gun and no need for jail time.

Only a dope would go 98 mph when you have a bag of weed, a gun, a syringe and a little baby in the car. Remember: only dopes use dope.

I don't understand the laws in this country. Having all that in the car, speeding, and putting a poor defenseless infant in that mix, and you come up with 5 years? I counted more years than that! And what will the time served really end up being? Tougher laws for these hood rats, please!

Yeah, booze is no good and lazy housedad's right about the drunk drivers, but with dope the habit gets so expensive you steal and deal to support your own habit until it kills you. Of course when you deal, you deal to kids. And by rights, if you get caught dealing to kids, you should die, one way or another.

First, it would destroy street level distribution networks. Second, if implemented correctly, there would be new sources of local , state and federal tax revenue. Third and best of all, new easy access to the substances at a much lower than former street level pricing would hastened demise of drug addicts and morons. Forth and second on the best of all hit parade is the stimulation of businesses that serve legal distribution and processing of the dead. Eff them. Eff you too with your crazy rescue mission of morons. Natural selection is part of nature for a reason and as long as human society insists on what seems to be a concerted initiative to dis-associate itself with nature with attempts to indicate a transcending of natures inevitabilities they deserve everything they get. Humans are the worst thing that ever happened to Earth. Nature will have the final word.
