I can remember going to Floyds Station on Water Street with my grandpa and Floyd used to give me candy now I cant afford to give my kids candy cause your mechanic wont pay his child support Im trying to feed my kids..they have to share a sucker! Its hard to get money legally from Louis when he is getting paid under the table and not getting a paycheck!!! And the volunteer fire dept doesnt pay. P.S don't you have to have a CDL and insurance to drive a tow truck?? Just sayin...

no, you dont have to have a cdl & who ever owns the tow company would have work comp & insurance on the truck. I drove for floyds years ago for just a short time, "to much family drama in there family for me" I had a cdl already & still do but didnt need it to drive the tow truck.

Lived in Sauget. Loved being able to walk to Chartrand school. Use to ride mini bikes every where. Remember the police. Charlie White , Dave Clevland.. Went to Wirth Junior High. Dena Dollins. Remember riding my bike behind those trucks that sprayed chemicals out of them.

Bare assed beach, also remember going rat knocking at the landfill.
One of my friends had a car and several of us would get together armed with clubs and go rat knocking at night.
The way we did this was to drive into the landfill with the lights off and then turn the lights on and kill rats.
It sounds crazy now but it was fun back then.

Bottle rocket fights in the middle of the street. 2,3, and 4 man football, walking along the levee for hours, hiking to the bluffs as a kid, then driving to the bluffs to party when I was a teen. Ppl not from Cahokia commenting here seem to be jealous. Cahokia was awesome.
