Crooked Cops

The bottom line is that Roger Holyfield would still be alive today if the Cops had left him alone.....If there really is a god then the cops will get what they deserve.

The bottom line is the crooks are protecting their robots. It's a shame you get tasered for calling your mom and Jesus,or is it called disturbing the peace? Some bigshot was at a fastfood restaraunt feeding their fat asses and might of choked on a sausage.

Jerseyville is a small town and in a small town it is hard to keep a secret. We all know which cops "date" under age girls, drive drunk and like to beat on and threaton teen age boys. What has happened to Roger Holyfield will happen again in Jerseyville.....and Grafton is another crooked little town with dirty secrets and dirty cops just like Jerseyville.

I think you are looking at this wrong. The police were doing their jobs. This is a tragic situation and will forever be etched in their minds, but they've been cleared of wrong doing. If you have a problem with their methods take to your Congressmen and ask that the procedures be changed.
There are many situations where all of you would be glad the police do their jobs.
As sin city so eloquently put it, we live in a small town and gossip is runs wild. Everyone knows most of everyone's business. The fact is though its all rumor. You don't know a person unless you live with them.

Sure ,we'll call our congressmen and I'm sure they'll get right on that after the election just like everything that was so convenient in Jerkeysmackville happened after the mayor's election.
I guess you was there that night they was doing their jobs as well. Just like the trooper driving 126 mph was doing his. It is a shame that the bad copz shine the light on all! Procedure? sure we all rules to live by but some just think they enforce them and live by their own set of rules. Guess what you're not above the law and you will be held accountable from the top to bottom whether it's civil or criminal you will pay!
This whole scenario was wrong and regardless if the kids was a model or dirtbag no human being has to die so un-justly! In Jerkeysmackville it just depends on your last name and you will walk the line.

Congress whether they do or do not "Get right on it" has absolutely nothing to do with our Mayor, and what has or has not happened since her election.
No I was not there, nor did I claim to be.
As far as the trooper who was driving to fast, I nor you have no clue why. I wasn't speaking of a that specific incident, nor did I make a comment about it.
The police in this town or any other town are no different. The difference is that this is small town USA, full of nothing but gossips and persons who are opinionated without being educated about the subject. Snoopy people with nothing better to do than stick their two cents in without a clue.
My point was that THE POLICE HAVE A JOB TO DO, JUST AS YOU AND I. THEY DO IT TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY. YOU ARE GRATEFUL THEY SHOW UP WHEN YOU NEED THEM!
This child's death was unfortunate, and my heart goes out to the family for their loss. It doesn't change the fact that an investigation was done and the officers cleared of WRONG DOING! They followed protocol as is what they are trained to do, and is why the protocol is in place. So if you want state your opinion then do so by showing some back bone going to your Congressmen and asking that the protocol be reviewed and changed. That SIR is why
we live in this country. To be allowed an opportunity to voice our opinion and have it heard!

Hooray Hooray!
First of all this is a public forum called topix, last time I checked.
I am reffering to public corruption at ALL levels, from the dog catcher to the president it exists! Some people refuse to admit they just turn a blind eye on it. So a couple taser-trigger happy good ole boys shock a doped up psychotic kid it's ok? One does not have to be present for an opinion to be made with all of the other dirty politics in SMALL TOWNS like this one. Why was the ISP trooper in this case a John Doe? In reference to the 126 mph ISP trooper,"they" covered for him until the public finally put 2 and 2 together and realized they smelled a fishy rat.
As far as the police having a job to do yes they do with honesty and integrity, too many bad cops are making headlines Alton/Mick Dooley and Bolingbrook/Drew Peterson for instance. The bad always over shadow the good, life. There just happen to be some people in the world who do not call the police like you seem to enjoy the thought of. The people you are thinking must be the ones who fight over link-card six-packs and lockouts at Walmart. As a taxpayer I for one am sick and tired of seeing our government abusing its priviledge of power in a form of law abiding corrpution.
So in general calling your congressman/woman would be like calling cop to put out a fire,so you might as well go and piss up a burning rope!

In July of 1984 Jerseyville Police Officer Ralph Picket pulled over a drunk driver that was to drunk to stand on his own and then let him go. Five minutes later this drunk hit a car driven by 20 year old Stanton Smith,Stanton along with his girl friend Barb Fessler were both killed and the drunk was unscratched. Ralph Picket casued the deaths of these two kids but was not punished. Instead Officer Picket of the JPD was allowed to take early retirement with full pension. Check the arcives of the Alton Telegraph, this is no rumor. The Jerseyville Police are very corrupt.
Remember Tom Wallace

Jerseyville, IL

#10 Jan 28, 2008
Tom Wallace was 6'5" and weighed 250 pounds. everyone in Jerseyville knew who Tom was when the 18 year old kid went out for a ride on his old KZ900. In the summer of 83 Tom decided to try and out run officer Ken Schell of the Jerseyville Police Department instead of getting a speeding ticket,a ticket that Schell could have just mailed to Toms house. Some how during the pursuit that night Tom ran head first into a tree, the cops say Tom just ran off the road but others including Toms family will tell you Schell rammed him with the cop car. Tom can't tell his side of the storey,he was killed that night. Jerseyville Cops have a lot of blood on their hands.Four dead teenagers in the last 25 years(my friend Stanton Smith had just turned 20 the month before).....and Ken Schell was rewarded with a Job with the Jersey School District with a salary of $80,000 a year.

What ever happened to Trooper Mugge of the Illinois State Police ? Mugge lives in Jerseyville and was arrested on federal charges of owning an illegal machine gun. It was in the paper and on TV 2 years ago when he was arrested but no one can tell me what his punishment was other than being fired by the ISP.
Poaching

#12 Jan 28, 2008
Remember back in 79 when Tom Ray of the Jerseyville Police Department was "accidently" shot while Deer hunting at night on an Island in the Illinois River by one of his fellow poachers. This was covered by the Alton telegraph and is not a rumor.....and of course no charges were filed.

And then there was the Blackorby who is an Uncle of the current Cheif of the JPD Brad Blackorby. I can't remember his first name but he used to be a cop with the Secretary of State Police Department and was arrested for taking a $3000 bribe. And yes this is not a rumor, the story made the front page of the Alton Telegraph back in the late 80's.
Crooked Cop

Jerseyville, IL

#16 Jan 28, 2008
Almost a crooked cop,Tony Vaugn was an intern with the JPD back in 1991 when he was arrested for stealing a ticket book from the Jerseyville Police Department. Vaugn forged the name of his cousin Donald Gross who was a Jerseville Cop onto the tickets and sold them to Minors so the under age drinkers could buy booze.....and this guy was almost a cop......and I still have the newspaper story from the Alton Telegraph on this crook.
Fact not Rumor

About ten years ago there was a story in the Alton Telegraph about a Book Making oporation in a Jerseyville barber shop. The Gambling den had been oporating for years just 100 feet from the front door of the Jersey County Sherrifs Office and county jail. It was right across the street from the court house and the Judge could have looked out his window and seen it. So either the cops in Jerseyville are retarded or crooked as hell?????.,Any way the mother of an 18 year old boy complained to the crooked cops that her son had lost a lot of money there and that the Leg Breakers were trying to collect or the cops would have never raided the place. The list of costumers on the Bookie Sheet was never made public and the Barber plead guilty the next day. And it took over a year for the law to decide not to charge the crooked cops that Murdered Roger Holyfield. Jersey County and Jerseyville is very corrupt, unless you live here you have no idea how crooked the cops are.

A law suite was filled in Federal Court in East Saint Louis. This is far from being over. The cops were not cleared because other crooked cops investigated them. The code of silence was at work here, cops always lie and cover up for each other.

maybe we should have elections for police officers. Print a bio sheet on them prior to elections with any and all citizen complaints. Put the camera on THEM.

There is no such thing as an Honest Cop. Even the Cops who don't take bribes are dishonest because they adhere to the code of silence and don't turn in their crooked brothers.
