If a person is in business to make money, you can't make money if your target customers are teens. Sad but true. The teens do need a safe fun place to hang out.

Youth center is Non for profit I believe. And it's definitely safe.

I might be wrong on this, but according to the Advantage mailing we get most Thursdays, there is an ad inside stating Fatty Datty's is coming to 5240 Nameoki Road. I think that is the address of the former whiskey jake's. I did see three vehicles over there earlier this week, passing by. My understanding is this is an eating/drinking establishment.

Thank you for the heads up - I will keep an eye out for its grand opening. Hopefully it will be more successful than the prior business.

I saw vehicles there last week, too. I wondered what was going on.
Anyone remember the restaurant that opened where that used car dealership is in Mitchell? I think it was called, Ramsey's or something very close to that. They had good food. At the time I lived in Mitchell and was thrilled there was a decent 'sit down' eatery. Then they just closed. Place was busy any time I went there.

wasn't that the one off chain of rocks rd. by the Hen House? they did have pretty good food. I think it was too far off the highway for some people to bother with it.

Yes, by the emission test place. Do you remember Remington's? I think that was the name. Behind McDonald's off 111. They had good food, too. The 'Mile High Italian Beef' sandwich. I think it was some sort of club before that. It closed as a Mexican restaurant a few years ago after someone got shot in the head. It's a shame that whole area is just truckers and warehouses now.

The owners of Whiskey Jakes are redoing the place and are opening a burger joint there now. Still the same owners but just changing the name to draw their business back in.....or try to.
