You are clearly a moron if you want to argue semantics - it is actually located in the unincorporated area of Chateau township ... blah blah blah...or Pontoon ... or Granite City ... does it matter where specifically the site is located when the last thing this blighted community needs is ANOTHER vacant building?!? That is really the best you can come up with?
My advice to you is to quit smoking your Krystal ...
I DON'T SMOKE BUT THANKS FOR YOUR CONCERN. AND I WASN'T TRYING TO ARGUE I WAS JUST POINTING OUT A FACT. THAT LOCATION IS PONTOON.

I have lived in GC all my life. When did that tract of land become Pontoon? As recall the city limit sign out on 203 still reads Granite City Pop. 38000 give or take. So how does this make it Pontoon?

They thought you were trash and here you are proving it. Nice work
I'm far from trash. I work for a living, own my own 5 bedroom home, married with 3 beautiful children, pay my taxes, no I do not live on welfare and no I do not do drugs. I was simply posting my opinion about the fact those people basically dug their own grave by coming onto a public forum and trashing the town and the people in it in which they expected to make money in. Do I feel bad they closed down? HELL NO! Do I feel bad for the innocent employees that didn't have anything to do with bad mouthing the people of granite city? Yes. And I hope they all have luck finding future employment. As for you....well sounds to me you must be the girlfriend or one of the friends of that deadbeat owner everyone keeps talking about. If not why so salty sweetheart??? Lmao!

I don't care what kind of trailer you own or how many kids you have brought into this world or how much your yearly income is. Taking joy in the failure of others makes you a trashy moron. You are someone who would cut off your own nose to spite your face. You are too stupid to realize that vacant buildings and failed businesses have an adverse impact on our community. We should mourn the loss of employment opportunities and city revenue - I live not far from this location. I imagine it failed because they did not advertise very well - I had no idea that the place opened up only to close again or that the named had changed from Shakers to Whiskey Jacks. I always thought it was a shame that nobody did anything with the building/business and apparently at least someone had tried ... I would have given it a go if I knew anything about the bar/restaurant business and had the cash to do so.

Last time I checked trailers don't have 5 bedrooms. I said I own a home! I'm far from trash! But yes in this case I do take pleasure in knowing that idiots business shut down! Not only did he trash talk our town and the people in it, he was caught serving minors as well! I'm also far from stupid but you my dear are questionable because it's Whiskey Jakes not Whiskey Jacks. If you knew anything about the place, you would realize that many bars have tried opening in that location and failed. It is a shite location and the building has a screwed up layout for a bar. I called it out before they even opened, although I gave them 6 months to a year.

GWAF! You are still moronic trash - quit trying to justify your trashy life and quit providing excuses for your pathetic existence. You are not making yourself any smarter by trying to argue that you think you are better than you actually are. You are just validating me more and more every time you post your insipid rantings.

Yes we do have a chatea however you spell it township. I could show you on my voter registration. Someone should turn that place into a racetrack hangout or a place for teens to congregate. There is no where in granite dedicated for juveniles to hang out.

There's a youth center in downtown Granite.
