I hope he rots in prison, after some big bubba claims him for his "b*t*h and reams him out every day and twice on Sunday. There really is no justice for murder. I can't see how spending his life in prison is in any way compensation for the two lives he took away from those kids and their parents. But I don't see a better way. I am glad that the Furtado's feel they have gotten justice, it is the hardest road for them. Carrigan's mother seemed a little irresponsible in this whole scenario and I feel she might be partly to blame even though she was not directly involved in the murders. It is sad that she paid a dear price for that irresponsibility by losing both of her children over this.

Don't even start bad mouthing Jodie on here. How was she irresponsible? She locked her house and the ASS came in, he wasn't invited in. You are a total Jerk for even making thsese kind of comments, hope you don't have kids and somtheing like this happens to them. Not too long ago, you didn't even lock your doors in Chester. Hope prison sends Reyes to Hell where he belongs. He should have also been tried for causing the death of Billy. Maybe they can kill him in prison and then big Bubba can have SEX with him after he is dead.

It's too bad these comments are so ugly. I'm sure the grieving parents are tired of evil miserey and need the hope of something better. I know there are many people out there who feel so sad for these folks and are praying for them.
I've been thinking about how I could bump into one of the family at a store and not know who they are. It makes me want to be a little kinder and more understanding.

Re:"Maxion admitted his client's guilt but had argued for a conviction of voluntary manslaughter on the grounds that when Carrillo-Garcia entered the Carrigan house late May 10, 2008, he believed his former girlfriend was being harmed and sought to protect her. That belief and an alleged attack on himself by Furtado triggered what a psychiatric expert called acute stress disorder."

Further proof you can get a psychiatrist to say anything for a fee.

It seems to me that Carrillo-Garcia acted out of jealousy.... while he shouldn't get the death penalty he should get a stiff sentence. I that will remind him of what he did every day he is in prison! thats much better than the death sentance, besides the way rhe justice system works in this country .. to meny inoccent people are sentenced to death for a crime they didnt commit!and also the death penalty costs a hell of alot more!{ on average it takes 20 years or even more before the death penalty is carried out } Better to keep a person in for life! on the same note, how the heck can they convict a person for murder if he or she didnt commit if while in the act of robbing some one! to me the worst thing they did was to be an acomplist and should receave a lesser sentance!

He should have been prosecuted for the death of the Carrigan boy, as well. He never would have had that fatal auto accident if he had not been rushing home after learning of the murder of his sister.

I believe it was reported that Carrigan's mother wasn't home at the time of the murders and she came home early the next morning and then eventually went looking for the kids later when she hadn't heard from them. What responsible mother would let her high school aged daughter's boyfriend stay the night during prom and not be home. Was she out tramping at the bar or just letting her daughter be a tramp? And why did the ex-boyfriend have a key to their house? When her daughter and the ex were dating did he come and go as he pleased to the daughter's bedroom too? I feel really bad for Steven's parents that their son got caught up in all of this. A fatal mistake.

Don't act like you know anything about me because you don't. First of all, I am not mad at my mom. Second, I am nobody's "bro", I am female. So you are wrong on both counts. I have no clue what you are talking about "there mother's big man"? Are you saying someone's mom has a big penis or what? I don't know, you confused me on that one.

Call me a jerk but the fact is: Doesn't do much good to lock your house when the creep has a key does it? How can you call yourself responsible when your teenage daughter is home with her boyfriend after prom alone? Where was the mom? I don't believe that tidbit was ever disclosed in the articles I read.

I think you are very misunderstood on the meaning of murder my friend. Murder is the premeditated act of killing someone. It is not only if you are robbing them. If you have intention of killing them out of jealousy or revenge or spite or after committing another crime first like rape, bad drug deal or robbery as long as the intent to kill existed before you did it and it wasn't an accident or self defense it is all murder. There was no accomplice in this murder. He did it all by himself. In case you are not understanding what an accomplice is, it is another person who is somehow involved in the crime, even if all they did was know about it and didn't report it.

Stop the ignorance, weren't the victims both 18 years old as reported in the paper? That means they were legal adults and had the right to be home without the parents there if they wished. Quit blaming the mother for what happened. That's completely uncalled for. Just leave her alone.

Apparently you can't read very well. They did not go to Prom. Jodie was home with them and they had watched tv together. He had a key because on one week-end while they were away he was taking care of the animals. When Jodie got up in the morning she thought both kids had left because the cars were gone, that Reyes had moved to another location. Don't start calling them tramps or whores, do you call them that because you are one? You are a real piece of work.. do you have children? Do you know if they are having sex in a car somewhere else you probably join them AHole

I think Plumas folks proved they are smart by the verdict they returned. Can't see them re-electing this bozo. He'll no doubt be off to some other poor, rural county. Look out Modoc!

I hope everyone thinks about these famlies before you make a comment on here- Yes, I do realize freedom of speech, but the trial is over and the famlies feel that justice was served. And while no one will ever forget Steven and Jenny (and Billy)the famlies are trying to put the trial behind them- lets help them do that and not drag it out.

Just because they were 18 doesn't mean squat. They both still lived at home. Out of respect, if you are going to be having sex, you don't do it in your parent's home. If they would have went to a motel or even in the back seat of a car somewhere, they would still be alive today.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Libra

If someone owes you money and you're beginning to think that you'll never get it back, this is an excellent day to chase them up. They may not cave in straightaway but at least you'll have had your say and done what you can. Watch out for a tendency to lose your temper, because although this could be quite dramatic if you're usually the soul of equanimity it could work against you if you become aggressive or unpleasant.
