Can anyone explain to me why the Town of Brookhaven is trying to force a local business out of their town? This business has been in place for over 20 years. This business employees over 50 people, pays the Town $96,000 a year in rent, although apparently they don't need the money being they refuse to cash the checks anymore. In addition to rent this business pays all federal, state and local taxes.
In addition to all of the revenue generated this business as also donated 10's of thousands of dollars to charities.
Cousins Paintball has been a member of this community for over 20 years and all of a sudden they are not allowed to remain in place. The flimsy excuses the town officials put up have all been debunked, yet there is still no progress. Does the town not want businesses in their town?
