Sounds like someones pockets have been getting lined . I've been donating to The Humane Society for years by not only giving monies but purchasing anything they might be selling such as calendars, etc. . I've been waiting on that building since the early eighties . What is going on and maybe there should be a criminal investigation launched . It's obvious Shirl Berry isn't going hungry .

Donation of the money should be made to the Animal Protection League.

Totally agree!!! That woman and her people should be mandated to be forthcoming about how much money is coming in and where its going. And as a county resident, I know where its going - in their pockets. Its sad that she plays on people's emotions in order to line her pockets. Shirl Berry you need to be held accountable for the mountains of donations you've received on behalf of the animals. After all, its money for THEM, not YOU!!!

Your 1st mistake was donating money.

Your 2nd mistake is expecting anything
to come from that county that is intelligent
or accountable.

The correct thing you did was stop contributing.

All of these organizations, though for the most part well intended, simply will do no better than the dog pound. We are a rural community. People move here so they can have pets and animals. Their intent is to remove the dog pound take that funding and oh well we know what will happen then. Su is right. Political agenda and greed takes over. Here's what needs to happen. Hold people responsible to take care of animals. The ones that are abandoned well are domed to a fate. Accept it and go one, but don't be dumb enough to believe these people are any better than others. They are not!

Reading these comments make me ill...any one who believes Shiri is lining her pockets is out of their mind, how dare you make statements that you have no proof ,some of you need to walk in her shoes for just one investigation and then run your mouth. You all believe the idea that all will be well once a no kill shelter is built,HA HA...You dreamer, hope you sign on to work the shelter every day all day and all night, and put all your money where your mouth is...lets get real...spay,neuter,educate..
