Are firefighters policemen?

Maybe there is no policemen to honor this year?

It seems the police were overlooking themselves and decided instead to pay tribute the west webster firemen that were injured and nys trooper that died.

(They seemed to explain that in the article you linked to).

Very nice.

I'm sorry but you've sold yourself to the whites, so only whites will be willing to go with you, or maybe you might find some junior uncle tom's that want to get promoted in the rpd the way you did.

How did I know this was a mean and hate filled Rhonda thread just by the title? How can someone possibly hate firefighters so much?

First of all I didn't make the tile on this one, the news channel did.
Secondly, where do you get that anyone on here "hates" firefighters???

All I was pointing out is there is a time and place for everything, and a policemen's ball is for policemen.

The Westminster Kennel Club doesn't honor Cats at their meetings and competitions.

One of the firefighters that day was a Lt. with the Webster Police Department. I do not think the Policemanís Ball requires that the fallen officer has to die while on duty. Most likely they also honored the other fallen firefighter as that would be the right thing to do in this case.

So they are honoring a policeman by calling him a fireman and to be politically correct they need to include the other fireman who is not a cop?

What if a cop worked part-time as a Security Guard at a bar ( a bouncer), and one night a gunman came in and shot two bounces.
Would the Firemen's ball people be politically correct by
"Honoring 2 Bouncers"? What if the the other bounce's full time job was only at McDonalds?

Your post are so pointless, verbos, and stupid. It has nothing to do with political correctness.Honoring someone who does nothing like say McFaddden would be the P.C. move. They are just honoring fellow first responders who were involved in one of the worst tragedies to hit our area ever. The policemans ball is not to honor just police officers. It is to honor people the police feel deserved to be honored by them.Lastly your bouncer analogy is one of the most ridiculous and feeble attempts to engage in critical thinking I have ever heard. It is pure nonsense.

Well tell us who else has this policeman's ball honored who are not policemen, and tell us what these 2 dead firemen did to be honored? Are you a hero to get shot?

Why Rhonda do you care so much about things that matter so little? Your trite, dull, misanthropic ordeals in childish semantics are indescribably stupid.
