UC President Mark Yudof announced today he would recommend to the university's governing body next week a plan to make up one-quarter of the 10-campus system's $813 million state funding cut with employee furloughs to commence Sept.

If the state wants to save money deport all the illegals now. "The Democrats see them as cheap votes and let the taxpayers pay the $60,000 a year they cost in terms of welfare, emergency room fees and incarceration. If these costs were added to that of a head of lettuce each one would cost $5 and we certainly could get Americans to pick them for a lot less than that. since UC Berkley is mostly white i think the state should make them pay more so they can give full scholarships to the black students. we should be getting free school,room and board also.White people got the money,maybe they should buy 1 or 2 less cappuccinos to help pay for our education.
