It's really stupid and irresponsible all you women getting on facebook posting your targets from conceal carry class. You ladies really don't know how to contain yourself. You are supposed to take the class and lessons seriously. It's not fun and games and look at me take my picture with my target. You look stupid and need to wise up and be serious. Are you going to flash your lavender gun around to?

The target and permit are things to be proud of but seriously not a good idea to be telling everyone you have a gun just sets it up to be stolen

You people are vicious. It may not be the case, but it seems you are constantly looking for something or someone to be offended about or reaching for reasons to degrade others. There are constructive ways to voice your opinions. Why does it always have to be so negative and derogatory? It really does say a lot about your mentalities. Sad, really. East Prairie used to be full of good folks. Now they are obviously the minority if this is any indicator.

Let them be proud. I will be when I receive mine and well should be.

When carryin a weapon it has a certain responsibility anyone who flashes there permit for everyone too see is abusing this responsibility and degrading the value of the concealment which in turn could lead to unjust violence that is directly related sorry bad sentence structure on my phone

I took the offending photos off my facebook page. I guess I need to review my friends list since I do have privacy set to friends only. I am very proud to have QUALIFIED for a concealed carry permit although I never said I would be obtaining one. I was proud to have overcome my fear of handling a weapon enough to be able to hit a target. I hope I never have the need to use a weapon against a human being. All guns in my home are secure with no possiblility of them being stolen. I don't even have access to them but thank you for your concern.

Yes, I did try to commit suicide 25 years ago during a very dark, sad period in my life and one to which I have never returned. I am very open about that and have never tried to hide that fact. But thank you for giving me the opportunity to let people who suffer from depression or from an event that they feel unable to handle that you CAN get through it and it is not the end of the world. I thank God every day that I am alive.

I agree. Plus also agree with the other poster about setting yourself up to get it stolen. Some people can't do ANYTHING without posting it on FB. It seems that some women can't even change their pantys without telling about it.

Think about it like this. The type that would post those pics on their wall are probably gonna carry that weapon everywhere they go, cause they feel they have the right now...Right? Well you cant carry it into most stores around, you cant carry it into the ballgames. There are a lot of places you do NOT have a right to carry it with you...So are you gonna break the law and carry it anyway, or are you gonna leave it in your car when you go in like the law says? Are you gonna lock your door everytime you go in to pay for gas or just run in to buy something and be back out. it only takes a a few seconds for someone to get in your car and steal your gun and now that you've showed the whole world that you have one and most likley have it with you, looks to me like you just put a target on yourself......smart thinking ladies!

NEWSFLASH: Posting a picture of your target is not an invite to get your guns stolen. Should hunters also refrain from showing pictures of their trophies/kills? Should we also make sure that if we take a picture in our home that there is nothing valuable in the background? Your claim makes no sense because, honestly, if someone wants to come in and steal something from you chances are they already know what's in the house regardless of what they have or have not seen on facebook. And if they wanted to steal a gun they could just pick about any house on the block. We are in SE Missouri for goodness sakes- most people have guns!

The problem is a gun if put in the wrong hands can be used in a violent manner guns arent dangerous people are if a person has a conceal and carry they have the right to carry and the resposibility of a dangerous weapon i have one and am responsible enough not to tell everyone also if your gun gets stolen this could lead to the owner being charged with a crime they did not commit guns arent just valuables people dont understand that and now because of carelessness and misguided fear my second admendment is being threatened by liberals and people who cant even define assault weapon this is why it should not be put on fb

first off let me say good job on getting your conceal and carry. Second it's true sometimes you can't be sure who your real friends are and apparently that loser isn't one of them. I would be more concerned about that type of person having a conceal and carry due to their childishness behavior and inability to actually think before that shoot off at the mouth. That let's me know they won't think before they shoot period and that's how innocent people end up getting hurt. Third this other person who deliberately throw your past up for everyone seems a bit unstable by doin so. In fact you seem like a well adjusted person and am glad you can share your story. Alot of people do suffer from depression and alot of people do have uncontrollable situations to which they feel there is no other way out and I am glad you can be an advocate to them because you've been ther and help them see there is a way out. Keep on shining. Misery loves company and apparently this person just wants to du you shine
