Unfortunatly this detour is largly ignored. The intersection of Mill and Main St is indeed very dangerous and overly congested. Particularly during morning and evening rush hour. Sooner or later the town will need to acknowlege that this intersection needs a traffic light. Holding onto the idea that our town doesn't have any traffic lights, and we don't want to install the first one, is allowing a hazard to continue to exist. I supposed someone will have to be killed in a crash here before we wake up to current realities. |

agreed ... I've almost been hit several times at this corner by people speeding around the blind turn. I usually try to avoid that intersection.
