Poor Emily, clearly another trusting victim of Doc Marshall's Traveling Just Trust Me and Don't Ask NO Questions Snake Oil Show...just about everybody in the district has bought at least one bottle and the school committee is addicted to the stuff..

Exactly as I suspected ! What a sad situation for the teacher really. I think her supervisors should be disciplined for harassment. Oh wait she wasn't in the teacher's union so she wasn't protected...how convenient ! More small town insanity. Glad I raised my kids in the hood !

This is why stuff like this should NEVER be reported until all the facts are out. Now this poor girl will have this incident follow her for the rest of her career, over a game children were playing. I can't imagine the stress that she must have been under this past month, with her name and credibility ruined for the time being, until she was found innocent of any wrong doing. Before we accuse, we should have all facts presented from both sides of the story before we ruins someone's life like this.

Best of luck to this young lady, I hope that this doesn't stop her from working with children as she appears to be suited to do so. May she have a wonderful life filled with great things in store for her, for all the hell she's been put through recently. God Bless her and her family and friends that stood by her during this time, to which I am sure she is very grateful to.

In a statement released sometime this week , from the mobile Ivory White Tower (located somewhere between North Middlesex and Quabbin) the Supt through 4 different layers of administration reiterated that because the administration never released a statement and hid behind closed doors Ms Metcalfe was never technically fired. We never said "your fired", we just said go home and don't come back. Because we said nothing we have nothing to apologize for.
That is all we can say now because we are switching to Quabbin time zone .
Welcome to the new millennium.

She was indeed fired. Then, the District came out with the "she wasn't really fired" stance after they took a beating in the press.

Typical teacher first mentality. What is this little kid going to do when her parents cannot fight her battles for her.
Notice that the kids are not even considered, it is all about the teachers career. This is why we need vouchers, the public schools are just a jobs program for teachers, not really any different from the Turnpike authority

It was innocent Art Tape, not Duct tape. Channel 5 refered to it as duct tape again on 7/10. The media created this entire debacle, and the sheeple coninuted to be bain washed by mass media.

An hysterical mother who's wants to blame society for her kids behavoir, plus the media looking for shocking stories and we have another wholly biased news story. I hope there is someone this poor teacher can hold accountable to all this miss information.

When are the charges going to be filed against the crazy parents that caused this teacher to go through this?

I also feel the district overreacted and they should have stood behind this young teacher until all the facts were in!

Nothing happens in NMRSD without checking with our soon to be shared super. Modest proposal: charge Quabbin $100k and give her to them 100%!!! Our district will save by avoiding further damage.

Problem solved. Let's give the administration another hefty raise. After all, we can pass half of it to Quabbin.
